When businesses have gasping desperate moments, they call Mapes. When organizations have big ideas, they call Mapes. When brands want to strategize their SEO and SCO, who do they call? (FYI: it’s not Ghostbusters.)

Mapes’ appetite to solve any puzzle paired with her marketing / pr background makes her a trusted, valued member of the team, creating solutions through website design and systems, marketing and branding strategies and social media content management.

Current projects include the creation of a simulcasted bidding platform for Ad Astra Auctions, a company that conducts arcade auctions live in Texas and Kansas and online everywhere. Lasting Legacy Online, a project from the Kay McFarland Foundation, which assists people in writing and sharing their life story for free. The Black American Blueprint Collective, an organization committed to sharing and preserving the stories of Topeka African Americans and warehouse414 (Topeka, KAN), a one-of-a-kind high style furnishing store whose e-commerce success continues to spread internationally, gaining the attention of CBS Sunday Morning and studio producers such as Netflix.

Mapes is a two-time Arts Award recipient, member of the inaugural Greater Topeka 20 Under 40 class and is an AWC Women Making Headlines awardee. Past board leadership roles include Topeka Expo Center and Positive Connections. Most recently she served on the steering committee for Topeka Arts & Culture Master Plan. Mapes is a fierce advocate for voter rights with the #VoteDammit initiative. She is the founder of KSEF Digital Radio, a station that “celebrates everything local and everything Topeka” and features area and regional artists and podcasters plus the creation of a community-wide events calendar.
