Jay T Ladenburger, or ‘JT’ as we affectionately know him, is our February Executive of the Month. JT regularly makes meaningful contributions to whatever is going on at SME, always giving and helping out in every way. We are pleased to honor JT and want to sincerely thank him for the abundant ways he makes SME better. JT served on this year’s speakers committee and is bringing in his childhood friend, KU Head Volleyball Coach, Ray Bechard – a four-time Big 12 Coach of the Year, as our May dinner meeting speaker. JT had fun this past summer participating on the golf tournament committee, secured numerous tournament sponsors and brought us the Harley Davidson motorcycle for the hole-in-one prize. He also coordinated all that great signage for the tournament. He is currently serving on the SME Live committee working to create a great seminar that all SME members can take pride in attending the morning of April 23^rd. Ask JT about one of his favorite SME memories and he may tell you about the time when he brought in John Gordon as the SME Live keynote speaker and the resulting life-long friendship he formed from that happen stance. JT is a past president of SME and has been a member since 2005. It seems every time we turn around – there is JT with his winning smile, offering a helping hand. We are blessed to have him as a member and pleased to honor him this month.  JT and his wife Susan of 40 years cherish spending all the time they can with their 3 adult daughters and 8 grandchildren. When JT is not busy spoiling his kids and grandkids, he loves to referee Kids Basketball, teach a Sunday School class and mentor young Dads. JT’s favorite hobby is making memories out of wood — most recently building beds for kids in Topeka going or coming from foster care.
