We are excited to honor Mike Eichten as our April Executive of the Month. Mike is a past president of SME and has served as a member of the board of directors for many years. Currently he is serving as chair of the special events and member education committees. As such, he is also chair of the SME Live committee and has done a fantastic job of getting great speakers for this year’s SME Live seminar planned for April 23rd. He has also led the charge to secure a number of great sponsors to make the event a fundraising success for our organization. Mike is also active on many additional committees to include the golf tournament committee, the past presidents committee, and the speakers committee. Mike contributes in so many meaningful ways! He does so much to make SME great! And right now, on top of all of this, he is tied for the lead spot in our Spring New Member Recruitment Contest. Mike has been a member of SME for more than three decades. He and his wife Nancy have two grown daughters, one of whom you may already know, Kate Cooley who is also a member of SME. Mike has a number of interesting hobbies. He is a musician, an entertainer, and a songwriter still searching for his first hit. Mike also enjoys travel, the grandkids, pickleball, and being retired (somewhat).
