Irene Haws was named the December Executive of the Month for all the great work she has been doing to help SME-Topeka grow its membership. Irene serves on our board of directors and also chairs the membership committee. If you are a new member, she may be one of the first people you became acquainted with as you were joining SME. Irene hosts the new member orientation sessions for new members several times per year where she shares all things SME with those who are new to our organization. She also likes to find out what new members hope to gain from their SME membership. Irene also participates on several committees including the marketing committee, golf committee, and the executive of the year banquet committee. Irene is the Marketing and Events Coordinator at Fidelity State Bank & Trust. She is also the owner/designer for I-Design Graphic Services. She serves as a Unit Commissioner for the Jayhawk Area Council-Bison District and is a member of Topeka Solutions Business Networking Group serving as the Mentor. She is a member of Lions International and is currently serving as President of the Topeka Lions Club and is the 2nd Vice District Governor of Northeast Kansas Lions. Her hobbies are: strength training, hiking, kayaking, black powder shooting, tennis, golf, sailing, dancing and watercolor painting.
