Over fifty years ago, a group of sales and marketing leaders created SME Topeka. They built an association for sales and marketing professionals that continues to strive to improve the knowledge, conduct and standards of our members.
Over the years, our membership has grown and evolved with the times. We are committed to practicing the highest standards of excellence in all aspects of sales and marketing through continued education, community involvement and professional networking.
Throughout the year, we provide opportunities for growth and professional development through our High Performance Seminars. These are often presented by our members and are on specific topics or issues that impact us all.
As the only professional sales and marketing organization in northeast Kansas, we utilize dinner meeting, high performance seminars and networking events as opportunities to reach out to our community and help all the business owners, non-profit executives and government decision-makers enhance their own sales and marketing skills.
We also recognize the future leaders of our profession. Our members support a chapter of SME at Washburn University. We also fund an annual scholarship for a Washburn student majoring in marketing.
