President’s Message

President’s Message

The most powerful ingredient in business is positive momentum.  There is nothing better than a team working together to do big things.  Right now, SME Topeka definitely has some MO going!  Let me share the good news.

By the time you read this, we will have held the annual golf tournament – it was a huge success.  The committee absolutely rocked it.  We exceeded our goal for number of teams playing and money raised.  It was a team effort, a big thank you to all those members who contributed their time and energy.

SME Live is planned for April 25 at Topeka Civic Theatre with John Medina (New York Time bestselling author of Brain Rules: 12 Principles for Surviving and Thriving at Work, Home, and School) as our keynote speaker.  SME Live is our signature event – it promises to be outstanding.  Mark your calendars.

Three new members joined our organization this month – please welcome Jeff Baker with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kansas, Chad Copeland with Heritage Bank, and Emmy Fischer with Evergy Plaza.  Thank you to those members who are inviting contacts to consider SME.  You are making a big difference in our trajectory.

The momentum continues Tuesday October 4th.  Join us for a drink with friends, a good meal, and a great speaker.  Sam Meers, Executive Vice President at Barkley Health Innovations is our special guest.  Sam has worked at some of the top creative shops in the world and has 25 years specializing in healthcare and financial services categories.  Reviewing Sam’s LinkedIn page, we are in for a special night…

There is no better time than right here right now to get involved with SME!  Can you feel the MO?

Rick LeJuerrne, SME Topeka President
